Blood on the Saddle is one of the most influential and important bands to emerge from the early 80s Los Angeles music scene and arguably helped lay the foundation for the Alt-Country genre. Founded by singer, songwriter, producer, and guitar virtuoso, Greg Davis who developed the idea of mixing Bluegrass with the aggression of Punk Rock, as successfully demonstrated by the band’s ten albums and forty-year career. The original line-up of the band consisted of; Singer/Songwriter/Musician Annette Zilinskas (The Bangles, The Ringling Sisters, Medicine), Drummer Hermann Senac (Guilty Hearts, Crowbar Salvation, Groovy Rednecks), and Bass Player Ron Botelho (Groovy Rednecks). Blood on the Saddle has consistently toured throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe and shared bills with the Minutemen, the Meat Puppets, Social Distortion, the Gun Club, the Blasters, Los Lobos, Lone Justice, the Knitters, and Rank and File. The band’s current line-up is Greg Davis, Vocals/Guitar, Drummer Dave Frappier, a nearly 30-year veteran of the band and Bass Player Joe Dean (The Wrinkling Bros.). With the recent fortieth anniversary of their debut album, the release of First Blood in 2024, and a new record in development, the band continues delivering their trademark sound from the Wild, Wild, West of Punk.
